Farmers' Market

The Burlington Nelson Lions Club opened the Farmers' Market in the Central Arena parking lot in 1959. Moved to the new Burlington Mall parking lot in 1968. 2007 - the Burlington Nelson Lions and the Burlington Central Lions merged as the Burlington Lions Club. We have become one of the most successful Farmers' Markets in Southern Ontario. 2019 Readers Choice Best Produce in Burlington.

A recent study conducted on our market showed that the Market brings in about $5,000,000 in sales into your community. This is above the moneys spent at the market itself. We have to thank the Burlington Centre Management for their co-operation and generosity in allowing us this prestigious location for our Farmers' Market.

the Farmers' Market has been associated with the Burlington Mall for over 50 years. The Mall - now rebranded as the Burlington Centre - celebrated its 50th year in 2018.

there are almost 200 people employed by the market, either through working the stalls or in the field getting the produce ready for the market


the profits from operating the Farmers' Market are returned to the community through donations by the Burlington Lions Club
